Mountain bikes are specifically engineered for downhill mountain biking are generally equipped with a suspension for both the rear and the front. The tube framing of the bikes are usually heavier than those used in other mountain biking variants. Downhill mountain bikes usually take a weight from 40 lbs to 50 lbs. From the name alone, bikes for downhill mountain biking are not used for uphill climb, pedaling them uphill will be futile. For downhill mountain bikers to start with their ride, they have to be lifted by ski lifts that will ferry them from the top of the hill. The trail that downhill mountain bikers pursue is generally demanding physically. They can be very dangerous too; hence a great amount of precaution is necessary. Nevertheless, bikers still don their gear in full monty that includes the helmet, kneepads, goggles, and the body suit. Today, downhill mountain bikers can now choose from the wide array of locations to experience an exciting downhill mountain biking.
