    Scuba Diving In Mexico

They say that the southern part of this North American Hispanic country is abounding with stunning spots perfect for taking plunges into the deep. The fun and excitement for scuba diving in Mexico all starts in Cozumel. It has mounds of coral that safeguards the panoramic beaches of Costa Maya. The aforementioned place also has its own barrier reef that is considered as the second largest in the world. It extends all the way to Roatan in Honduras.

About three decades ago, Cancun was just a quaint little fishing village where guests are only treated with few hammocks and wobbly bungalows. Due to the rise of industrialization, there has been a lot of changes that has resulted to only scraps of sand with only few spots for scuba diving in Mexico. However, for about 1, 200 kilometers, apprentice and experts alike will have a grand. As it was said in the previous paragraph, the more you head downward, the better the treat.

It may be small in size but Paamul is way beyond ideal for scuba diving in Mexico. With a protected cove, one need not to go very far in order to take a great glimpse of the bright colored fauna. However, when the waves are so high, be very careful because you might find yourself colliding with the rocks. Another activity that the town is very popular of are families doing spending their vacations in RV campers. Each year, there are more than two hundred families that gather around for extended stays.

Akumal is another exceedingly fantastic ground for scuba diving in Mexico. Even before you take a plunge into the deep, you will be captivated by its powdery white sands and pristine emerald waters. Today, it has transformed itself into a commercialized urban jungle but has still been able to preserve the treasures that lie beneath the surface of the sparkling seas. It is where most of the bistros and hotels are situated making it as another attraction.

If you have the luxury of time, you can proceed to the Chinchorro Banks. Although, it is only recommended when the climate is serene because of the two hour boat ride just to get out of the barrier reef. Do not ever take a trip using such a small vessel because it will be entirely dangerous. You can always contact shops that offer chartered ships like XTC Dive Center where it will only cost around $125 for an entire day. You can keep in touch with them at 938-831-0461 or visit their website at www.xcalak.com.mx.
