    Positioning

When you are doing the service, positioning of the ball is also highly significant as it will have an effect on the result once reaching the playing surface of your opponent. The positivity and negativity of placement will be greatly based on your contender. Bear in mind that various athletes take on different arrangements when the service is received. Also, the paddles are diversely grasped on which is a way to prepare in welcoming the service. Once the service is returned by an athlete you should take advantage of, it is there you can determine the strengths and weaknesses.

There are two characteristics that you should be aware of when you referring to positioning in table tennis.

Do not give a half- long service. In table tennis, it is described as a service that bounces only once on the center of the playing surface of your opponent then heads straight toward the end of the line. If ever you will have a skillful contender, he or she will drive back a service that will threaten your performance even from the start of the match.

If you can recognize the power zones of your opponent, do not attempt to give a half- long service. This is because your contender can smoothly strike the ball by employing a drive, backhand loop or forehand sans keeping himself or herself on the corners. This kind of service will then threaten your coveted victory in table tennis.
